The 3S Cow Boy Church in Enterprise operated out of a former saw mill and recently underwent a major transformation.
“We’ve been meeting here for two years and we had about forty people from Barrow Cow Boy Church in East Texas come two weeks ago and spent a whole week with people to transform this building. We were actually meeting here to put the walls up and build a stage, build bathrooms and sound booths and spend a whole week,” said Tony Chancelor.
The ministry continued to function regardless of the challenges it faced.
“We didn’t have walls but just on the North and South side we had tarps on the ends it’s what we did.
We heated it with patio heaters and did not have air condition,” Chancelor said.
The church has an attendance of 75 to 80 people every Sunday and has a judgment free approach to any visitors seeking a church.
“I think people who like horses and horse events and outside people. you can come and all walks of life. It doesn’t matter what you wear, and you don’t have to dress up,” said Chancelor.
Pastor Chancelor hopes to draw in a community engagement by having future functions at the church.
“October 26th , we have The Wild Horse Family Day, we’ll be promoting that, and we’ll have different events around here. You don’t have to have a horse. We’ll have all sorts of things for families to get involved with,” Chancelor said.
