Business prepare for Small Business Saturday

Businesses are getting prepared for a major holiday that will benefit the economy locally.

“It’s definitely important to be a part of The Small business Saturday. Mainly it’s always about customer service. You can’t go wrong with seeing the faces, seeing the people that you shop with on a daily basis. It also helps because it brings money back into the economy in a small town. We have to help and bring each other up,” said Quincy Hughes, Giorgio's clothing employee.

The idea of the holiday is for customers to show appreciation of businesses while shopping local.

“I like small business. I’m willing to give a little more or pay a little more for small business because I appreciate the effort and contributions that they make,” said Vernon, Graves, customer.

The competition is all around is why stores like Giorgio’s Fine Clothing gives customer a bargain for their money.

“It’s in our prices, it’s in our slogan, dress your best for less. We have competitor prices for suits, name brand suits like Stacy Adams and Michael Kors, Steve Harvey. We have a lot of clothes that our competitors don’t really carry,” Hughes said.
