The memories of people who have passed away will live on through Christmas ornaments at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
The Christmas tribute ornament hanging event at Anderson gave members of the community an opportunity to purchase and hang an ornament with a loved one’s name written on it.
This is Anderson’s twelfth year holding this event and many look forward to it.
“ I think my favorite part is watching the faces of folks that come and either hang the ornament or listen to the name being read of their loved one and it’s very meaningful, for it can be very emotional for them and so we know we’re helping the community by providing this”, said Ginny Ruffin, Oncology Social Worker Patient Navigator At Anderson Cancer Center.
The money raised from the event will benefit the cancer patient benevolence fund to help provide hundreds of patient services such as, transportation assistance, prosthesis, medicine assistance and more.
