Tonight, the meridian police department wants your help finding two men accused of an armed robbery and shooting at a local gas station.
Early monday morning, two masked men stormed into the Cefco on 14th street and 17th avenue and held the clerk at gunpoint.
One of the masked men jumped over the counter and took money from the register.
Authorities say the two suspects wanted the clerk to retrieve money from the safe and shot him in the leg when he was not able to open it. The victim was admitted to a local hospital and has been released.
Sameerah Smith, a regular customer of the convenience store knows the victim and shares with Twin States her thoughts on the crime.
”They’re wrong and they need to get up off their butts and find them a job or find them a hobby to do, because we all have the same 24 hours a day, 365 days a yar to do something with our life besides running into peoples stores trying to rob and you’re not going to get anything any way and whoever did it, I can’t wait till y’all get caught”, Sameerah Smith.
