MPD Still Looking for Stolen Vehicle Suspect


MERIDIAN, MISS - Meridian Police Department is thanking the Newton County Sheriff's Office for their assistance in locating a vehicle that was reported stolen during the early morning hours on Saturday, February 1st from the parking lot of a local business.

A white male suspect was captured on video entering a local business where he took an employee's vehicle keys and wallet. According to police, the suspect used the keys to steal the employee's black 2007 Chevrolet Suburban vehicle that was left parked in the business parking lot. Fortunately, the vehicle was recovered Tuesday, February 4th, in Newton County, by a Sheriff Deputy.

Meridian Police is currently investigating and requests anyone who has any information regarding the identity or whereabouts of this suspect to please call the Meridian Police Department at (601) 485-1893 or anonymously call the East Mississippi Crimestoppers at (877) 485-8477 where you could receive a reward if the information reported leads to an arrest.
