Meridian, MS - The coronavirus has forced “Mississippi Blood Services” to cancel many of its blood drives and now leaders say the need in Mississippi is urgent.
So far more than 35 blood drives have been called off. Blood Services workers say that means a loss of more than 12-hundred units of blood. There was a scheduled drive today in Meridian at “Next Level Nutrition” on Hwy 19 North, but it too had to be called off.
Mississippi Blood Services workers are pleading with anyone who can donate to head to their website — msblood.com or use their free app to check for locations where you can still donate.
