Police are still trying to solve the case of three people – shot to death in Meridian - in October of last year.

Today, the police department - and the families of the victims -held a news conference asking for the public’s help:

“Good morning, I just want to say if anybody knows anything, it can be the little things. Please come forward”, said Q’vester Jones, mother of victim Kodi Davidson Jr. “I don’t care what you know, who it is, anything, please. Thank you.”

Detective Chanetta Stevens of the Meridian Police Department lead the press conference:

“We are here in an attempt to gain as much information as possible in reference to an incident that occurred on October 12th, 2021, at around 3:30 PM. A call of unknown trouble was made to E911 at the address of 2010 17th street. Officers arrived at the location and found the deceased bodies of Kodi Davidson Jr., Jacoby Jones, and Hunter Card and a male baby who had been shot twice”—Detective Chanetta Stevens

Twin States News spoke with a neighbor shortly after the murders last fall:

“I was sitting in my yard feeding my dog and I heard some gunshots. I heard the sound of a door kick in or something fell. Then all of sudden they just opened up”, said a bystander.

At today’s news conference, the mothers of murder victims Kodi Davidson Jr. and Hunter Card both spoke out:

“Hello, I’m Jennifer Card, Hunter’s mom. If you have any information, please come forward. You do not realize the life that you took, a son, a father, a brother. He had a big heart, he did not deserve this, no one deserves this."

Both families said today that they have gone through every emotion imaginable. Now they are just hoping for justice. If you have any information about the unsolved murders, you are asked to contact the Meridian Police Department (601)485-1893 or Crimestoppers (855)485-8477
