Meridian Community College to reopen campus on Monday
The Meridian Community College will reopen their campus to students, faculty and staff on Monday, July 6th. Students are welcome to receive assistance in advising, registration, financial aid and admissions.
Sophomore Pedro Gonzalez says he looks forward to the reopening to get his information taken care of.
“I’ve already made a couple of appointments that I needed to talk to my advisor and financial aid office. With my advisor, I need to talk to them about the classes I’m taking for next semester.”
Gonzalez expresses the college has provided students with a great deal of communication during the pandemic.
“Every couple of weeks or every other day, they post something on their instagram-all their social media telling us something has been updated on the website. Especially the week after spring break, we were on spring break during the outbreak. That whole week, they actually worked pretty fast to move everything from normal classes to online classes.”
Meridian Community College announced they are planning to resume in class schedules for next semester. Gonzalez is excited to see what next semester will hold.
“I’m excited because my first semester when pretty good, this next semester will be even better because we have new people coming in.”
Although, the campus will be reopening Monday, students are welcome to receive assistance with these subjects online as well.
Everyone is required to wear a mask on campus. Campus officials ask no one enter campus if they have symptoms of COVID-19 or has been exposed to anyone with the illness.
