MSU-Meridian sees a significant increase in enrollment in Fall 2020
Updated: Nov 6
Mississippi State University-Meridian is posting its highest enrollment ever, with a 27.5% increase over last year’s fall semester.
The campus saw 834 students enroll this fall semester, with the largest increase in enrollment at MSU-Meridian seen in the graduate population with 252 students this semester.
“I think that is remarkable, the fact that we’re in a global pandemic and we really didn’t know last spring that would happen to our fall enrollment, but fortunately for us the online options that we’ve offered to students during the pandemic have also expanded the access of education of MSU-meridian to working adults,” said Dr. Terry Dale Cruse, associate vice president and head of campus at MSU- Meridian.
MSU-Meridian’s largest increases in enrollment were seen in its graduate education programs, specifically, alternate route certification, for teachers.
