Northwest Middle School To Hold A Parade For 8th Grade Graduates

In Meridian, Northwest Middle School will be celebrating 8th graders that have graduated with a drive-by parade.

The parade will be tomorrow, May 21 at 6pm at the middle school campus. The lineup of vehicles will begin around 5:45 and they will drive down the front of the school with music playing. The names of students will be called by principal McCallum, and they will be handed a certificate recognizing their promotion.

“I’m looking forward to celebrating our 8th graders, letting them know that we appreciated their work that they’ve shown throughout the year, that it didn’t go in vain, even though we’re in the middle of a pandemic –we want them to feel celebrated and have closure for their time at northwest, we want them to put a final stamp on it, with their family, their loved one , the faculty and staff at northwest, to show them that we support them and that we love them at northwest middle school”, said Jerrell McCallum, Northwest Middle School Principal.

Those who plan to participate in the parade are in encourage to decorate their vehicles to help celebrate the Class of 2024.
