The Small Business Development Center at The University of West Alabama has partnered with the USDA to Host A Rural Strong Outreach Event to help businesses and potential entrepreneurs.
“They are bringing in resource partners to provide the information to the community and to the small business community of individuals interested in starting a small business on how to start, grow, or expand,” said Donald Mills, SBDC director at UWA.
Those that attend this event will learn about resources that may come in handy.
“Government agencies have small business loan programs where they actually provide guaranteed products to guarantee loans for small businesses as well as farmers. It’s a really unique event for this area and it focuses on rural Alabama,” said Donald Mills, SBDC director at UWA.
These workshops are presented in hopes of growing interest to gain new entrepreneurs or create new businesses.
“It’s to help and strengthen the economy and rural Alabama by providing these resources on site during the actual event,” said Donald Mills, SBDC director at UWA.
