The United Way of East Mississippi and The Dollywood Foundation partner for a film premiere

The United Way of East Mississippi and The Dollywood Foundation announcing a presentation of a free one-night-only live streaming world premiere event for “The Library That Dolly Built”, a behind-the-scenes look at Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

The film will be streamed exclusively on Facebook on Wednesday, December 9, at 6pm.

The screening will be followed by a conversation with, and live acoustic performance, by Dolly Parton.

The United Way of East Mississippi was selected as a community partner to benefit from majority funds raised from the film's premiere, when it was initially scheduled in the spring, but the pandemic lead to the premiere now being held virtually.

"When COVID hit, we had to cancel our plans and of course not do this big party. Well, Dolly came back to us a few months later and said she's working with us to do a virtual fundraiser on Facebook, where if people sponsor a child, at least $30 to sponsor a child, whatever they choose to give, to give to imagination library, and then we will send them a link to a live concert with Dolly Parton," said Derron Radcliff, Executive Director of the United Way of East Mississippi.
