Winner Announced For The Christian Andreacchio Memorial Scholarship

Tonight in Meridian, the non-profit organization “Magnolia Son” created to honor Christian Andreacchio, who lost his life in February of 2014, has announced the winner of their annual scholarship.

Created in 2015 by his mother and father, Rae and Todd Andreacchio, Magnolia Son’s mission is to honor Christian’s generous spirit, and recognition of others’ needs. This year, the Christian Andreacchio Memorial Scholarship of $5,000 will be awarded to Highschool senior Lillie Grace Langston, with the winning essay out of the thirty submitted to apply for the scholarship.

“Our hopes, just like any non-profit is—that we can help as many kids as we can, whether its locally, state-wide, or even country wide, but if you know, it’s all based off of the donations that we get. We raise money throughout the year, it’s a lot of behind the scenes work that goes on, but its something that we feel like Christian would have wanted and would have been proud of”, Chris Thompson, secretary of Magnolia Son.

Winner Lillie Grace Langston will be attending the University of Arizona for musical theatre.
